“ Ive lived a mere two minutes away from this restaurant for a year and passed it daily on my walk to work. Despite six years in Boston, Id never ventured in, mostly due to seeing a predominantly nonIndian crowd a potential sign of inauthentic Indian cuisine. Tonight, I finally gave it a shot, with little expectation given my past experiences with Indian restaurants in Boston. Though recommendations leaned towards parathas and Chole bhature, I ventured to order a Bathura and Chicken tikka masala. The latter came as a thali, complete with rice, salted yogurt, and pickles. A generous portion, it mirrored what one might find at an Indian dhaba. While the presentation was authentic and appetizing, the chicken was unfortunately cold and clearly looked like it had been prepared hours before. Given the late hour, I wont dwell on this too much. What caught me off guard was how delicious everything tasted, and the texture was also so good! The staff, however, left a bit to be desired in terms of warmth and hospitality. The space is compact, with some outdoor seating available. The place is cashonly, and I didnt know that beforehand, so I didnt have enough cash to tip them sufficiently. Without hesitation, this is the best Indian food Ive had in Boston. If you ask me, Will you go back?, yes, absolutely, and I cant wait! ”
“ Incredibly good and cheap food. The masala, curry, and korma are nearly perfect. The naans and parathas are fresh and hot. Highly recommend the keema ground lamb and peas naan and paratha. The homemade yogurt is also really good a bit too sweet but take it as a dessert not a beverage. ”
“ Great food at affordable prices with generous portions. Front counter staff are very polite, friendly, and helpful Cash only so be prepared Love the mango lassi especially! ”
“ Been coming here for years and its always fantastic. Everything weve had has been excellent and the service is quick and friendly. Punjabi Dhaba is the best! ”
“ My favorite Indian restaurant in boston. I come here at least once a week! Everything is super affordable. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and even spared me a free lassi when I was short some change! I made sure to tip well next time! bring cash for convenience, or you will have to online order. ”
“ One of my goto comfort spots in the neighborhood. They are so fast, delicious, and always very friendly. The food is delicious! Im slowly making my way through their menu. I recommend their chaats, the aloo Naan, and their combo plates. Its hard to go wrong with this place. Lots of vegetarian options! They have a whole space upstairs for dining in that overlooks Inman Square. ”
“ This is a delicious gem of a find! So much better than your typical fast food stop. The food is great, service is great and the criss cross apple sauce seating was fun! Great pit stop on our road trip! Highly recommend! ”
“ Good selection, Great taste! Quick service. Very less wait times. Fun ambience music. Great value for the fair price. Bear in mind, small space. Not the most sanitary. The chai was just okay. Cash only. ”
